Amritsar: Various Sikh Organisations under the leadership of Baljit Singh Daduwal, President of Haryana Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee, honoured Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh (Former IG, Punjab Police) with ‘Saropa’ and 'Gold Medal' in front of Golden Temple, Amritsar in a large gathering. It may worthy to mention here that Recently, Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh has resigned from the Indian Police Service mainly because of the failure of our colonial system to do justice even in a case related to ‘Guru Granth Sahib Ji’. Although he has left the police, leaving aside his remaining eight and half years IPS job, but he is committed to serve the society continuously, but without uniform.
Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh, while addressing the gathering, said that his resignation is not an end but a beginning to bring back the old fame and glory of Punjab. He declared that they will make Punjab again a ‘Progressive Punjab’, free from Mafias.
